A very partial list of the sites we read, usualy when we are putting off other things like working, writing, updating this site or generally anything else we maybe should be doing.

Pindeldyboz
A feeling of confusion and/or anxiety, when ingeniously anesthetized by obese amounts of levity.

Updates every few days here and there. "litter for the ill and literate, or if you prefer: 'illiterati illumina' "

Word Riot
A great selection of everything from short stories and flash to creative nonfiction and book reviews.

Small Spiral Notebook
"...a venture into something literary." Another great collection of stories, review, and other literary goodness. Updated quarterly.

storySouth
"storySouth's most important mission is to showcase the best fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry that writers from the new south have to offer." We are pretty naive about all things non-westcoast (our idea of the south is San Diego), but this site has yet to let us down. good stuff.

Dicey Brown
A site with fiction, poetry, photography and micro-fiction. All good. Also, the editors are Karen Ashburner and Lydia Copeland, and we like both of them.

The Edward Society
...currently has an excerpt of Adam Voith's new book, and recently had a story by David Barringer. That's good stuff.

Taint
This site pretty is the standard fiction, poetry, review stuff. Except not the standard- it actually does it well. Imagine that.

McSweeney's
You probably already go here.

Small Town
A biannual journal that publishes entertaining, quality work in all forms.

"New Voices From San Francisco's Subculture." Plus, they like our trailer, so they are obviously good people.

Creative resistance designed for the emancipation of the human spirit.

Oyster Boy Review
The name doesn't explain it all?

Citizen Robot
An online zine, started "in an attempt to escape the pooptacular shenanigans of most film critics."

Ruthless Reviews
These are reviews Ebert would write if the guys from buddyhead hypnotized him and made him swear. A lot.

Write This
"If you think you are ready for This, you probably are not."

Utter Wonder
Christopher Monks "idle thoughts." He had an entry about his love for Mike Schmidt which puts you in the blog hall of fame as far as we are concerned.

Zulkey
From the mind of Claire Zulkey, the site that begs the question, 'can you go wrong with a kangaroo?' No, no you can't.
